Comeaux Furniture and Appliance, is a well-established mid-size company located in the Greater New Orleans area. A family-owned furniture and appliance company seeking an experienced full-time Accountant / Bookkeeper. We have over a 70-year history of providing excellent customer service and well-known brand-named products at competitive pricing. Opportunity for long term employment, in a relaxed environment. Hourly salary will be $24.05 per hour ($50,000 annually). Benefit’s package includes health insurance, dental and vision, vacation and PTO accruals.

HOURS/LOCATION:

Monday thru Friday In-Office (Non-Remote) 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Location: 3949 Euphrosine St, New Orleans, LA 70125

DUTIES:

· Daily posting and balancing of all financial transactions

· Monthly balancing of all relevant bank and general ledger accounts

· Evaluate, analyze, and report monthly P&L to owners in coordination with Controller

· Prepare other schedules and financials to coordinate with outside accountants

· Aid in the development of internal controls

REQUIREMENTS:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Minimum 3 years of accounting / bookkeeping

· Efficient use and understanding of Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Outlook…)

· Excellent communication and computation skills

PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:

Degree in Accounting or Business Administration Experience in AP, AR, and/or HR
