    Position Overview

    The Comfort Advisor plays a key role in helping homeowners choose the right heating and cooling solutions for their comfort, energy efficiency, and budget goals. This role includes both sales and light service responsibilities , offering customers the best possible experience — whether that means performing a repair, recommending system replacement, or coordinating with our service experts.

    You'll manage the customer relationship from the initial consultation through installation, ensuring every homeowner receives a 5-star experience. The ideal candidate is a confident communicator who thrives on helping customers make informed decisions, understands HVAC fundamentals, and takes pride in seeing projects through from service to completion.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Build strong rapport with homeowners to understand comfort needs, preferences, and budgets.
    • Conduct in-home consultations to evaluate system conditions and present tailored solutions (no major technical repair work required).
    • Present both service repair options and replacement options , ensuring the customer fully understands the benefits and costs of each.
    • Provide the customer with the option of performing minor service repairs or transitioning the repair to a Service Expert when needed.
    • Present 3–5 system options emphasizing energy efficiency, comfort upgrades, and financing opportunities.
    • Clearly communicate the value and benefits of each option in an approachable, customer-friendly manner.
    • Guide homeowners through financing and promotional programs, ensuring transparency and confidence.
    • Partner with service technicians and installers for accurate project handoffs and smooth installations.
    • Maintain accurate customer and proposal records in ServiceTitan or similar CRM systems.
    • Meet and exceed personal and team sales goals for close rate, revenue, and average ticket size.
    • Provide an exceptional experience that earns 5-star reviews , referrals, and repeat business.
    • Attend all training sessions, team meetings, and company events to stay current on products and promotions.
    • Uphold company standards in professionalism, appearance, and communication.

    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

    • 60%+ close rate on consultations
    • Three or more options presented per proposal
    • 25%+ upsell rate on accessories (air scrubbers, humidifiers, smart thermostats, etc.)
    • Consistent achievement of monthly and annual revenue goals

    Qualifications

    • Proven success in HVAC or related home improvement sales (preferred)
    • Basic technical understanding of HVAC systems and service repair options
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
    • Self-motivated, organized, and performance-driven
    • Proficiency with ServiceTitan or similar CRM (a plus)
    • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
