Job Description:
This position provides support to the 46 Test Squadron at Eglin AFB as a member of our Command and Control (C2) test team responsible for planning, designing, and executing test events. This support includes the following:
- Perform as a member of the 46 TS C2 Test Team.
- Develop test plans, procedures, and schedules.
- Execute tests within the constraints of customer and 46 TS requirements.
- Produce high quality test reports and other test deliverables, on-time and within budget.
- Plan, execute, and report on associated fires control, support systems, and effectors.
- Develop in depth understanding, working knowledge of applicable Military Standards.
- Perform as a team member or independently with little or no supervision.
- Interface directly with system Program Management Offices, other services, Joint Battle Labs, product development contractors, and Field Service Representatives.
- Expertly author technical documents, conduct briefings and formal presentations.
- Travel to locations, as required, to conduct tests, collect, and reduce data.
- Any other related duties as directed.

- Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience:
- Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field and 10 years of applicable experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field and 18 years of applicable experience.
- High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 22 years of applicable experience.
- Active DoD SECRET security clearance adjudicated within the past five years.
- U.S. Citizenship required; Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance.
- Working knowledge of systems that employ datalinks and fires control messages.
- Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills.
- Able to travel to contractors' facilities, test sites, and other locations, CONUS and OCONUS, up to 35% of the time.
- Strong work ethic; Comfortable working with minimal supervision as part of a team or independently.
- Able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
Preferred Experience:
- Active DoD Top Secret Clearance
- Good understanding of basic networking
- Familiar with various network routers and switches to include Cisco, Juniper, etc.
- Experience with Microsoft and Linux operating systems.
- Current CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification.
- Familiar with Starlink/Starshield.
- Technical experience in the areas related to radio frequency waves/propagation.
- Technical knowledge of DoD Air Defense Systems.
- Technical knowledge of DoD radar sensor and sensor formats.
- Experience with GPS systems.
- Experience with programmatic technical interchange and working groups (PDRs, CDRs, TPWGs, PMRS, etc.)
- Familiar with DoD digital/tactical information distribution data links; preferably with Link 16, JREAP, UCI, and VMF.
- Familiar with field artillery systems and the Command and Control interfaces.
- Familiar with systems that employ C-sUAS, Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC), Integrated Fire Control Network (IFCN), and various other US, Joint, and Coalition fire capabilities.
- Familiar with Base Defense System systems and concepts.
- Understanding of DT&E processes, specifically acquisition program development and detailed knowledge of Air Force Command and Control (C2) test methodologies including AFI 99-103, Capabilities based Developmental Test and Evaluation (DT&E).
- Knowledge of system analysis and application software development concepts, functions, techniques, and capabilities sufficient to evaluate emerging technologies in a DT&E environment.
