Job Description
FULL-TIME BOOKKEEPER/ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT NEEDED FOR TACOMA, WA OFFICE.
BOOKKEEPER/ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT JOB RESPONSIBILITIES, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Bill payment for trust and conservator clients.
Bank and investment statement reconciliation.
Setting up and canceling accounts as needed.
Provides information by answering questions and requests.
Answers phone calls, schedules meetings and supports visitors.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office.
Exhibits polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail.
Supports team by performing tasks related to organization and strong communication.
Carries out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning, etc.
Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning administrative projects and expediting work results.
Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, and placing and expediting orders for supplies.
Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment with public contact and frequent interruptions. Benefits include professional development assistance, bonus pay, medical insurance for the employee after 60 days, eight days of PTO / pro-rata, and yearly vacation. Only full-time employees are eligible, a waiting period may apply, office schedule is Monday to Friday, beginning at 30 hours per week with a reassessment after two months to move into full time.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
1 year of experience in bookkeeping
Ability to prioritize and work efficiently
Must be able to pass a background check
High school diploma or equivalent education required
Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance
Knowledge of appropriate software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
