    A growing community bank is seeking a Commercial Banker to join its team in Southeast Michigan. This opportunity offers the ability to leverage your commercial banking expertise while working closely with local businesses to support their growth and success.

    Core Responsibilities

    • Grow commercial lending and deposit portfolios through new business development and relationship management
    • Serve as a market leader, building partnerships with centers of influence and community stakeholders

    A Look into the Role

    • Develop and manage a pipeline of prospective clients
    • Cross-sell banking products including deposits and treasury services
    • Evaluate loan opportunities in alignment with credit and profitability standards
    • Monitor portfolio performance, including credit quality and borrower activity
    • Represent the bank at community and networking events
    • Prepare loan presentations, write-ups, and reporting for internal stakeholders and credit committees
    • Manage and grow a commercial loan portfolio with a focus on profitability and asset quality

    What We’re Looking For

    • Proven ability to manage a diverse C&I portfolio (~$150MM commitments / ~$75MM outstandings)
    • Strong credit background with formal training and hands-on underwriting experience
    • Deep ties to the local Southeast Michigan market
    • Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to operate independently
    • Strong communication skills and professional presence

    Requirements

    • 10+ years of commercial lending experience
    • Formal credit training and prior Credit Analyst experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
