We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to join our growing team in Columbia, South Carolina. This individual will play a critical role in leading field operations and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

What You'll Do
Project & Field Leadership
- Manage day-to-day jobsite operations for commercial construction projects from groundbreaking through project completion
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to maintain project schedules and productivity
- Develop and implement short-term and long-term work plans to ensure project milestones are achieved
- Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve field issues
- Maintain a strong on-site presence while promoting accountability and teamwork
Safety & Quality Oversight
- Enforce company safety policies and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements
- Conduct regular jobsite inspections and safety meetings
- Monitor workmanship to ensure all work meets project specifications and quality standards
- Identify and address quality concerns before they impact project performance or client satisfaction
Communication & Coordination
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Owners, Architects, Engineers, and Trade Partners
- Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates on schedule, progress, and field conditions
- Review construction documents, plans, specifications, and shop drawings to support successful project execution
- Maintain accurate jobsite documentation, reports, and daily logs
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent managing commercial construction projects
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, sequencing, and best practices
- Thorough understanding of safety regulations, quality control, and jobsite management
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and project schedules
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing projects across a variety of commercial sectors
- Proficiency with construction management software and technology platforms
- OSHA certifications or other relevant industry credentials
- Experience mentoring and developing field personnel
