Commercial Construction Superintendent - Construction - Base Salary to 115k/year - Covington, LA

• Our client, an established commercial general contractor, is seeking a Commercial Construction Superintendent to oversee field operations for commercial construction projects from construction through completion. This position will manage day-to-day jobsite activities, subcontractors, scheduling, safety, quality control, and coordination with Project Management.
• The Commercial Construction Superintendent will support projects across commercial, institutional, retail, and healthcare markets and must have experience working within a general contractor environment. Some projects may require out-of-town travel and/or temporary relocation for the duration of the project.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily field operations and jobsite activities from construction through project completion
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trade contractors, suppliers, vendors, and field crews
• Manage construction sequencing, look-ahead schedules, project schedules, and daily jobsite coordination
• Review and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, specifications, plans, and other construction documents
• Monitor workmanship, quality control, and compliance with project plans and specifications
• Enforce jobsite safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and construction safety standards
• Identify and resolve field issues and coordinate solutions with Project Management
• Ensure field operations comply with applicable building codes and construction requirements
• Coordinate jobsite materials, tools, equipment, deliveries, and site logistics
• Communicate project status, scheduling, field conditions, and construction activities with subcontractors, Project Management, clients, and project teams

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Commercial Construction Superintendent within a general contractor (GC) environment
• Experience managing commercial, institutional, retail, and/or healthcare construction projects
• Knowledge of commercial construction methods, construction sequencing, building codes, and field operations
• Advanced experience reading and interpreting blueprints, construction drawings, specifications, and construction documents
• Experience supervising subcontractors, trade contractors, and construction field teams
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and jobsite safety practices
• Experience using computers, laptops, and tablets in a construction environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Experience with SureTrak or similar construction scheduling software
• Ability and willingness to travel and temporarily relocate when required by a project

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 95k - 115k/year range
