    Superintendent – Commercial Construction

    Brownsville, Texas

    Compensation: $100,000 – $135,000 base salary + bonus potential

    A well-established Texas-based General Contractor is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee commercial construction projects in the Brownsville market.

    This is an opportunity to join a growing, relationship-driven builder with a strong backlog of public and private sector work across Texas. The company operates with a lean, hands-on structure and is looking for a Superintendent who can take ownership of projects, lead from the field, and keep work moving safely and efficiently.

    Project Types

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee daily field operations from mobilization through project completion
    • Manage subcontractors, schedules, site logistics, and inspections
    • Coordinate with Project Managers, architects, engineers, and ownership teams
    • Ensure projects remain on schedule and within quality expectations
    • Conduct safety meetings and maintain OSHA compliance on-site
    • Review construction documents, drawings, RFIs, and subcontractor scopes
    • Lead site coordination meetings and maintain accurate daily reports
    • Identify and resolve field issues proactively to avoid delays
    • Maintain strong communication with clients and internal leadership

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of Superintendent experience in commercial construction
    • Experience managing ground-up and/or major renovation projects
    • Strong understanding of commercial construction methods and sequencing
    • Ability to manage multiple trades and maintain jobsite organization
    • Experience with scheduling software and construction management platforms such as Procore or MS Project preferred
    • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
    • OSHA certification preferred
    • Stable work history with proven project success
