Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and reliable Regional Commercial Driver's License A Truck Driver to join our transportation team. S & J Elite Transport is a locally owned small business trucking company that is family oriented. We strive to build and empower everyone that is connected to our company. This role involves operating various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, chassis, refrigerated, and dry-van trailers. The ideal candidate will have experience in no-touch freight delivery and route driving. This position offers the opportunity to work with a professional team dedicated to safety and efficiency in transporting goods across designated routes.

Responsibilities

Safely operate commercial trucks across assigned routes

Transport freight using different trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure operational safety and compliance

Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation in accordance with company policies

Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations during route driving

Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transit

Ensure proper securing of freight to prevent damage during transportation

Requirements

Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with clean driving record

Valid and current Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card

Proven experience in truck driving, including route driving and freight delivery

Current Valid DOT medical card with at least 6 months before next needed renewal

Familiarity with operating manual transmission trucks and various trailer types (primarily 20/40' chassis but limited to also dry van experienced preferred)

Able to pass and perform a pre-employment testing

Strong knowledge of safety standards related to commercial trucking and cargo securement

Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency

Ability to work independently on long routes or scheduled deliveries

This position is essential for ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods while maintaining high standards of safety and customer satisfaction.
