Commercial Driver & Field Support Specialist
Tri-State Tree Service is recruiting a skilled Commercial Driver & Field Support Specialist to enhance our professional arboriculture team. This combined-role position merges commercial vehicle operation with direct field support responsibilities assisting our crews during daily operations.
Primary Duties
Vehicle Operations & Equipment Handling
Safely handle company vehicles and specialized machinery (mini skids & chippers)
Execute daily vehicle evaluations and sustain equipment in optimal condition
Transport teams and materials to project locations efficiently and securely
Field Support Responsibilities
Gather, haul, and organize branches and debris during work activities
Handle ground-level tools including hand saws, pole saws, and chainsaws
Load, arrange, and store materials and equipment at work locations
Execute site breakdown and comprehensive cleanup activities
Safety & Team Coordination
Sustain continuous voice contact with climbers and aerial personnel
Protect workers and public from work zone dangers
Engage in weekly safety briefings and daily project meetings
Implement safety protocols and verify proper PPE utilization
Client Relations & Equipment Care
Interact professionally with customers
Communicate any client concerns or property damage promptly
Complete maintenance assignments as directed by team leader
Sustain clean, organized work zones consistently
Candidate Requirements
Licensing & Documentation
CDL Class A license (Required)
Clean driving history and capability to satisfy DOT standards
Background & Abilities
Previous CDL A driving experience
Field support experience preferred, but strong work ethic allows us to teach arboriculture skills
Superior physical conditioning and capability to work in all weather environments
Outstanding communication and direction-following skills
Physical Standards
Sharp vision, hearing, and physical strength for challenging outdoor labor
Capability to haul heavy brush and work extended periods standing
Comfort operating around heavy machinery and aerial activities
Pre-Employment Requirements: This position requires successful completion of pre-employment screening, including but not limited to: drug/alcohol testing, background verification, and motor vehicle record review. Employment is contingent upon satisfactory results of all required screenings. Candidates unable to meet these requirements should not apply.
Compensation Package

$200-$250 daily based on qualifications
