Our client is seeking a Commercial Estimator to support a growing commercial division within a specialty contracting organization based in the Indianapolis area. This is an office-based role focused on preparing accurate estimates, supporting business growth, and partnering with leadership to pursue and deliver profitable commercial projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects ranging from small retail to multi-story institutional work
• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop accurate scopes and takeoffs
• Solicit, analyze, and qualify vendor and subcontractor pricing
• Collaborate with leadership to finalize bids and pricing strategies
• Support project handoff to operations once work is awarded
• Track awarded work and support internal performance and profitability reviews

Requirements

• Prior experience estimating commercial construction projects; experience with a specialty contractor or subcontractor preferred
• Strong understanding of construction documents and scope development
• Detail-oriented with solid organizational and analytical skills
• Comfortable working in an office-based, deadline-driven environment
• College degree is a plus
