Overview
We are looking for an experienced Commercial HVAC Technician OR an EXPERIENCED HVAC INSTALLER. OR someone with experience in both.
This position focuses on installing, commissioning, and servicing a wide range of commercial HVAC systems. The ideal candidate brings hands-on expertise with large-scale installations, a solid understanding of complex mechanical systems, and a commitment to delivering quality workmanship that meets all project specifications, timelines, and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
System Installation: Install commercial HVAC systems, including rooftop units, split systems, chillers, heat pumps, ductwork, controls, and ventilation equipment.
Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers, field supervisors, and other trades to ensure installations are completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards.
Commissioning & Startup: Perform system startup, testing, and commissioning to ensure optimal operation in accordance with manufacturer specifications and project requirements.
Technical Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control system issues during installation and post-install inspections.
Customer Interaction: Communicate system functions, installation progress, and maintenance recommendations to customers clearly and professionally.
Documentation: Record equipment details, test results, and installation notes accurately. Complete and submit all required reports and documentation in a timely manner.
Site Awareness: Recognize and report opportunities for additional service, upgrades, or maintenance contracts while on job sites.
Tool & Vehicle Maintenance: Keep company vehicles, tools, and equipment organized, maintained, and in safe operating condition.
After-Hours Support: Participate in an on-call rotation to provide installation or service support during off-hours as needed.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a commercial HVAC technician with expertise in system installation and commissioning.
In-depth knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, including mechanical, electrical, and control components.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
EPA Universal Certification required.
Strong mechanical aptitude, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Physically able to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work safely in various commercial job site environments.
