    Role Overview

    The Commercial HVAC Service Technician is responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial and industrial air-conditioning and refrigeration systems. This position requires strong chiller experience and the ability to work independently while delivering reliable, professional service.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    • Service and repair commercial and industrial HVAC and chiller systems
    • Work on centrifugal, screw, scroll, and reciprocating chillers
    • Service package units, split systems, and refrigeration equipment
    • Troubleshoot building systems and controls
    • Perform mechanical service work on pumps, fans, and VAV boxes
    • Work with microprocessor-based control systems
    • Communicate service findings, estimates, and customer feedback
    • Complete accurate service documentation and paperwork
    • Coordinate with Service Managers and support staff

    What We’re Looking For

    • Minimum of 5 years of commercial HVAC service experience
    • Strong hands-on chiller experience required
    • Experience servicing equipment from multiple major manufacturers
    • Technical or trade school training or completed apprenticeship preferred
    • Journeyman-level refrigeration or HVAC experience preferred
    • Electrical or controls experience is a plus
    • Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and control systems
    • Valid driver’s license required
    • Strong communication and customer service skills
    • Comfortable working indoors, outdoors, and in mechanical rooms

    Work Environment & Physical Requirements

    • Field-based work in commercial and industrial settings
    • Work in mechanical rooms and outdoor environments
    • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, electrical systems, and weather conditions
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders or elevated surfaces
    • Use of PPE and adherence to safety procedures required
