About the role
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HVAC systems, the ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently, and a commitment to performing all installations, repairs, and maintenance in accordance with industry standards. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in commercial and industrial settings.
Responsibilities
- Inspecting and Testing : Regularly inspect and test HVAC systems to ensure proper operation.
- Troubleshooting : Identify and resolve malfunctions in HVAC systems efficiently.
- Repair and Replacement : Repair or replace faulty components in HVAC systems.
- Preventative Maintenance : Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
- Equipment Work: Work with a wide range of HVAC equipment, including rooftop units, chillers, cooling towers, boilers, air handlers, pumps, water source heat pumps.
- Communication: Interact with clients to explain repairs, maintenance requirements, and system operation.
- Administration : Document all work performed and provide detailed service reports to clients.

- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Commercial HVAC systems, including electrical and mechanical components.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
- Customer Service: Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and provide high-quality service.
- Safety Awareness: Adherence to safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Union Requirement : Must be an active UA Local 100 member or willing to join.
