Commercial / Industrial Electrical Foreman

Golden, CO
Full Time
Paid
  • Responsibilities

Some shops hand you a crew and then second-guess every call you make. That's not how we run. At Specialized Electric, the foreman runs the job. You'll get clear expectations, a direct chain of command, and an owner who's been in the field and trade since 1988 and still knows what a clean install looks like.

Specialized Electric Company is a family-owned commercial electrical contractor in Golden, serving the Denver Metro since 2002. Our crews have wired everything from tenant finishes to Coors Field, DIA, Oil & Gas, and Industrial. We don't cut corners, and everyone here knows exactly where they stand.

    What You'll Get:

    • $42-50/hr depending on experience and qualifications
    • 100% company-paid medical insurance
    • Dental and vision plans available
    • 401(k) with company match
    • Paid holidays, PTO, and profit sharing
    • Bonus opportunities
    • Company vehicle and fuel card (for qualifying positions)
    • Tuition reimbursement and paid professional development
    • Employee discount and referral program
    • Safety equipment provided

    What You'll Be Doing:

    • Running commercial electrical projects from mobilization to closeout
    • Leading crews and apprentices, and planning daily work so the job stays productive
    • Coordinating material orders and deliveries with project managers
    • Making sure every install meets NEC, the drawings, and our standards
    • Keeping daily reports, timecards, and material tracking accurate (email, PDF markups, and construction apps are part of the job)
    • Training and mentoring apprentices and journeymen
    • Keeping every site clean, organized, and safe, and leading by example on safety
    • Reviewing drawings, change orders, and submittals to keep projects aligned
    • Supporting turnover, startup, and closeout documentation
    • Mentoring journeyman and developing the next generation of leads
    • Coordinating with GCs, other trades, and utility providers
    • Tracking labor productivity and progress, and flagging ways to run work smarter

Who We're Looking For: You lead from the front. You keep a clean, safe site because that's who you are, not because someone is watching. You communicate straight with PMs, clients, and your crew. And when you give a date, that date means something.

    Beyond that:

    • Valid Colorado Journeyman or Master Electrician license (required)
    • 7-10 years in commercial or industrial electrical construction
    • 5+ years leading as a foreman, lead, or superintendent
    • Strong NEC knowledge and blueprint reading
    • OSHA 30 (maintained and mastered)
    • High school diploma or GED (technical or trade school a plus)
    • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and able to drive safely in all weather
    • Able to travel within 2 hours of the Denver Metro as projects require
    • Able to work varied shifts (days, evenings, or nights), lift up to 100 lbs, and work indoors and out, including extreme temperatures
    • Able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
    • Authorized to work in the United States
    • Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen & background check
