    Commercial Insurance Producer - Independent Agency - Base Salary to 50k/year - Athens, AL

    • Our client is a well-established independent insurance agency with a long-standing presence in the Southeastern United States. They are seeking an experienced Commercial Insurance Producer to develop and grow a book of business across commercial lines accounts. This role offers flexibility to work remotely or in-office and provides access to a broad network of carrier markets and internal support systems.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and grow a book of commercial lines business through new client acquisition
    • Prospect and generate new business through networking, referrals, and direct outreach
    • Manage the full sales lifecycle including quoting, binding, and renewals
    • Build and maintain relationships with multiple insurance carriers and underwriting partners
    • Analyze client risk exposures and recommend appropriate coverage solutions
    • Review existing policies and identify opportunities for coverage improvements and cross-selling
    • Maintain accurate client records and activity tracking within Applied Epic or similar agency management systems

    Qualifications:

    • Active Property & Casualty (P&C) License
    • 10+ years of experience in commercial insurance sales / production
    • Proven track record of building and managing a book of business (new business development required)
    • Experience working within an independent insurance agency environment
    • Experience placing business with multiple carriers
    • Proficiency with Applied Epic or similar agency management systems

    Compensation:

    • Base salary up to 50k/year (year one)
    • Year 2: Reduced base (25k/year) transitioning toward commission
    • Year 3: Full commission structure
    • Commission: ~40% new business / ~25% renewals
    • 401k eligibility after 1 year
    • 3 weeks PTO
