An established independent insurance agency is seeking an experienced Property & Casualty Sales Executive to join our commercial lines team. This position is ideal for a motivated insurance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, well-supported agency environment.
Position Overview
Full-time, in-office commercial insurance sales position
Office hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Hybrid schedule available after 90 days of proven performance.
Modern, technology-driven agency utilizing AMS360, Agency Zoom, AI Risk assessment software, Microsoft365, Copilot and other cloud-based platforms
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $50,000–$80,000+, with experience and proven sales performance

Key Responsibilities
Manage an assigned commercial book of business with a focus on renewals, accuracy, and retention
Meet with the clients in person or for Renewal or New Business Reviews.
Generate new business through inbound leads and cross-selling opportunities within the existing book
Prepare, present, and bind commercial insurance quotes across multiple carriers
Collaborate with underwriters to negotiate pricing, coverage, and terms
Analyze client exposures and recommend appropriate insurance solutions
Complete submissions, renewals, and remarketing in accordance with agency standards
Maintain accurate documentation and activity notes in AMS360
Work closely with account management and service teams to ensure smooth onboarding and policy servicing
Meet Agency production, retention, and cross-sell goals
Stay current on carrier appetites, underwriting changes, and market conditions
Qualifications
Active Michigan Property & Casualty license required
Life & Health license preferred, but not required
Proven sales mindset with strong production drive
Experience in quoting and placing business with commercial carriers
Strong organizational and follow-through skills
High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethics
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency with Vertafore AMS360, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and general computer systems
Carrier Experience (Preferred)
Experience with carriers such as Accident Fund, Acuity, Auto-Owners, Citizens, Hanover, Hastings, Fremont, Foremost, Frankenmuth, Michigan Millers, Progressive, Safeco, Travelers, and other specialty markets is preferred.
