Position Overview: We are seeking a driven and business-minded Commercial Insurance Specialist to join our growing team. This role is focused on selling and advising on commercial insurance solutions for local businesses. The ideal candidate has experience working with business owners, understands commercial financial conversations, and is comfortable building long-term professional relationships. Candidates with commercial lending experience or strong ties to the commercial or business community are highly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage relationships with business owners and commercial clients
Identify coverage needs and recommend appropriate commercial insurance solutions
Generate new business through networking, referrals, and community involvement
Work closely with carriers to prepare quotes, proposals, and policy options
Maintain accurate documentation and follow agency and carrier guidelines
Collaborate with internal service staff to ensure a smooth handoff after the sale
Qualifications:
Experience in commercial lending or a related industry strongly preferred
Business-to-business sales or relationship management experience
Strong communication, presentation, and consultative selling skills
Comfortable working toward sales and growth goals
Current insurance licensing preferred, must be willing to obtain required licenses
