Job Summary:

Baker Landscaping & Concrete, LLC is seeking a skilled and reliable Commercial Driver to safely transport equipment, materials, and supplies to job sites. This role is essential to the success of our landscaping operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery while maintaining safety standards. The ideal candidate has a valid CDL license, experience driving commercial vehicles, and a commitment to maintaining equipment and customer satisfaction

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Duties/Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Operate commercial vehicles, including dump trucks, flatbeds, or trailers, to transport equipment and materials to and from job sites.

Load and unload materials and equipment safely and efficiently, using forklifts or other equipment as necessary.

Plan and follow efficient delivery routes while adhering to scheduled timelines.

Ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, traffic laws, and company policies.

Perform routine inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure proper operation and safety.

Identify and report maintenance or repair needs promptly to the supervisor.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned vehicles and equipment.

Assist landscaping crews with equipment setup and breakdown at job sites as needed.

Ensure all transported materials and equipment are secure and protected from damage.

Communicate with the operations team to coordinate deliveries and pickups effectively.

Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage.

Complete and submit vehicle inspection reports and delivery logs.

Ensure all necessary permits and documents are current and in the vehicle.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Class A or B, with a clean driving record.

2+ years of experience driving commercial vehicles, preferably in the landscaping, construction, or similar industry.

Ability to operate forklifts, skid steers, or other equipment (certification preferred).

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit for extended periods while operating a vehicle (up to 8-10 hours a day).

Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing to load/unload equipment and materials.

Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry heavy materials and equipment (up to 50 lbs. regularly and occasionally up to 75 lbs.).

Manual dexterity to handle tools, equipment, and vehicle controls.

Full range of motion, including the ability to squat, kneel, and reach overhead, to perform job-related tasks.

Work Environment and Conditions:

Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow.

Ability to work on uneven terrain, such as dirt, grass, or gravel surfaces.

Exposure to loud noises from equipment and vehicles.

May require wearing protective gear such as gloves, safety boots, or reflective vests.
