The Opportunity
The Commercial Lines Account Manager plays a critical role in supporting the long-term stability, continuity, and client experience of the agency’s commercial book of business. This role is responsible for servicing and managing commercial insurance accounts while building deep, lasting relationships with clients, producers, and carrier partners.

Performance Objectives First 30–60 Days
- Learn the agency’s commercial lines workflows, systems, and service standards.
- Build foundational relationships with internal team members and carrier partners.
- Demonstrate reliability, responsiveness, and attention to detail in daily tasks.
- Begin supporting commercial account workflows (endorsements, renewals, certificates, submissions) under guidance.
6 Months
- Independently manage a defined portion of the commercial book of business.
- Handle renewals, endorsements, and client requests with minimal oversight.
- Maintain accurate documentation within the agency management system.
- Demonstrate strong in-office presence and collaboration with the team.
- Contribute to consistent client retention through proactive communication.
12 Months
- Fully own assigned client relationships and service responsibilities.
- Be viewed internally as a dependable, go-to team member.
- Handle increasing complexity with confidence and sound judgment.
- Support agency continuity by retaining institutional knowledge and process consistency.
- Contribute ideas or improvements that enhance efficiency or client experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day servicing of commercial insurance accounts, including renewals, endorsements, certificates, and coverage questions.
- Market, quote, and bind policies in partnership with producers and carriers.
- Proactively communicate with clients to ensure clarity, confidence, and satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the agency management system.
- Build strong working relationships with underwriters and carrier partners.
- Collaborate closely with the internal team in an in-office environment.
- Follow established workflows while remaining open to learning and improvement..
Qualifications
Must-Have
- Active Property & Casualty Insurance License (state-appropriate)
- 2–5+ years of experience in commercial insurance or agency environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfort working with an agency management system and Microsoft Office
- High attention to detail and client service mindset
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with Workers’ Compensation
- Exposure to multiple commercial lines of coverage
- Familiarity with renewal strategy and client retention best practices
Compensation is commensurate with experience. The target base range is $65,000 - $90,000. Arroyo Insurance Services also offers a competitive benefits package and bonus structure.
