Position Highlights & Qualifications:
A current property & casualty license is required
Office Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Full Time Position 37.5 Hours per week.
Must be articulate & enjoy speaking with clients
Strong Computer skills required: Knowledge of word, outlook email, must have strong typing skills
Knowledge of Excel a plus but not required
At least 5 years of agency experience in commercial lines customer service.
Knowledge of agency systems: AMS360 management systems and proposal system, EZ Rater for worker compensation, is desired, but not required
Knowledge of carrier interface systems for : Accident Fund, Acuity, American Modern, Auto Owners, American Modern, Chubb, Conifer, Hanover- Citizens, Hastings, Fremont, Foremost, Frankenmuth, Hagerty, Michigan Millers, Pioneer, Progressive, Safeco, Travelers and more specialty carriers. a plus, but not required
A current property & casualty license is required
Key Job Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Sets priorities and manages work flow to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of transactions.
Maintains a cordial and effective relationship with clients, coworkers, carriers, vendors business contacts.
Interacts with others effectively by utilizing good communications skills, cooperating purposefully and providing information and guidance, as needed, to achieve the business goals of the agency.
Processes incoming mail and phone requests, responding promptly and appropriately.
Orders and issues binders, certificates, policies, endorsements and other related items; verifies their accuracy; forwards them to client with appropriate correspondence.
Prepares summaries of insurance, schedules and proposals via AMS360 proposal system as need.
Processes renewals in coordination with Sales Executives/Account Executive(s) according to agency procedures
Verifies policy and policy change information, facilitating corrections when necessary.
Reviews audits of policies; verifies accuracy and facilitates corrections, as needed, between client and carrier.
Uses agency collection policy in invoicing and pursuing prompt payments; request cancellations from the carrier according to agency standards. Determines reasons for requests for cancellations; acts to save
Determines if direct or agency billing is appropriate and invoices accordingly
accounts;
Notifies Sales Executive/Account Executive(s). Processes and following up on cancellations requests to carriers to ensure accurate and timely
resolution; maintains agency in financial equity whenever possible.
Assists clients in submitting first reports of claims, facilitates prompt response from carrier staff and follows up on claims status, according to agency procedures.
Assist with placement and marketing of renewal accounts.
Contact carriers as required and answer correspondence in a timely manner
Participate in and successfully complete education programs as requested by the Agency Manager.
