Position Overview

This is not a siloed litigation role. The position offers direct client access and a blend of commercial litigation and outside counsel-style advisory work, creating a level of variety not typically found in traditional litigation practices. Attorneys in this role handle active disputes while also advising clients on business, contractual, and operational matters. The work may include everything from litigation strategy to real-time business decision-making, depending on client needs.

Responsibilities

This role involves a mix of litigation and business advisory work, with responsibilities that may include:

• Managing commercial and business disputes in state and federal forums through all phases of the case lifecycle
• Working directly with clients to provide practical, business-oriented legal guidance
• Advising on contracts, risk mitigation, and dispute avoidance strategies
• Supporting broader outside counsel needs, including operational and employment-related considerations
• Work collaboratively with team members while maintaining appropriate ownership of assigned legal matters

Qualifications

• 3+ years of litigation experience (commercial or business litigation preferred)
• Ability to independently manage matters and communicate directly with clients
• Strong writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with core litigation tasks (e.g., motions, depositions, hearings)
• Interest in a role that combines litigation with broader business advisory work
