    Commercial Litigation Legal Assistant

    StaffBuffalo is working with a respected, fast-paced law firm in the Buffalo, NY area to hire a Commercial Litigation Legal Assistant. This is a full-time, fully on-site opportunity offering $25.00–$34.00/hour, depending on experience, with overtime potential and a strong benefits package.

    This role supports attorneys handling commercial and business-related litigation matters where accuracy, structure, and deadline management are critical. It’s an excellent fit for someone who enjoys detail-driven work, thrives on organization, and takes pride in being the dependable “go-to” person who keeps cases on track behind the scenes.

    You’ll play a key role in managing case documentation, tracking litigation milestones, and coordinating schedules to ensure matters move forward smoothly and nothing falls through the cracks.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support attorneys with commercial and business litigation matters

    • Manage and organize case files, both electronic and physical

    • Track deadlines, court dates, and key litigation milestones

    • Maintain accurate calendars and case schedules

    • Assist with coordination of meetings, depositions, and internal deadlines

    • Ensure case documents are complete, accessible, and up to date

    • Communicate professionally with attorneys and internal team members

    Qualifications

    • Experience in a litigation or professional office environment preferred

    • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail

    • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting

    • Comfort working with electronic document management systems

    • Strong communication skills and a dependable work ethic

    • Legal assistant experience is a plus, but not required

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Hourly pay: $25.00–$34.00, depending on experience

    • Overtime potential

    • Full single health insurance coverage (firm contributes toward deductible)

    • 401(k) eligibility after one year (6% of compensation)
