Starting/Hiring Wage: $34,700 - $41,824 annually

Full Wage Range: $34,700 - $48,947 annually - Midpoint and above is reserved for existing employees who have longevity with Northwest Business Development and consistently exhibit outstanding performance over a period of time in the role.
JOB SUMMARY: The Loan Assistant provides support to the Processing Department by coordinating and completing tasks related to the intake, review, consolidation, and entry of documentation and information used in the preparation, analysis, and underwriting of SBA 504 Loans. This position will follow established guidelines and procedures to meet internal policy, compliance, and regulatory SOP requirements.

Minimum Education &/or Experience
High School diploma or equivalent. Prior financing/lending/banking experience preferred. Basic understanding of credit products, documentation terminology, vendor documents and searches, and document preparation. Exhibits solid knowledge of or a strong desire to learn applicable local, state and federal regulations, SBA policies and procedures, and has the ability to meet deadlines under pressure while correctly preparing documents.
Other Skills & Abilities
Advanced personal computer skills with demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft 365 Suite. An ability to acclimate quickly to other programs; self-starter and works with minimal direction; strong verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal skills and team orientation; ability to prioritize work and remain adaptable under pressure to meet deadlines; ability to appropriately escalate issues requiring problem solving and decision making.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents, correspondence, technical procedures, and/or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present verbal and written information when responding to questions from managers, peers, or other business partners.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Demonstrates critical thinking tendencies to address problems decisively and to propose sustainable solutions.
