Position Summary
The Commercial Loan Operations Administrator is responsible for preparing and proofreading commercial loan documents, maintaining confidential bank records, booking loans, reconciling loan general ledger (GL) accounts, imaging documentation, and monitoring and clearing loan exceptions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Prepare commercial loan documents, files, and correspondence.
Prepare all required entries to book loans, including loan proceeds checks.
Assist loan customers with inquiries and concerns as needed.
Maintain records and prepare master note draws, construction lines of credit, and other business-related credit facilities.
Determine required loan documentation and compliance materials.
Create, track, follow up on, and clear loan exceptions (missing or incorrect documents).
Post payments, advances, and perform file maintenance within the core system.
Image all required loan documents and follow-up items.
Reconcile loan GL accounts.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Position Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferred, or four (4) or more years of equivalent work experience.
Work Experience
Minimum of two (2) years of commercial loan processing experience within a financial institution or related environment.
Candidates must reside in Metro Atlanta.
Prior experience working in a bank performing loan operations or loan closings is required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies
Knowledge of Jack Henry systems (Silverlake, Xperience) preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong ability to prioritize tasks and work independently while remaining flexible to changing assignments and environments.
SBA and/or conventional loan experience acceptable.
Ability to read and interpret monthly reports, including past dues, non-accruals, and SBA 1502 reports.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
Ability to meet critical deadlines during designated periods.
Demonstrated ability to learn new tasks efficiently.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment across multiple bank departments.
Proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive company and borrower information.
Work Environment
Standing, sitting, and working at a computer for extended periods.
Limited travel required (0–10%), which may include driving.
