Position Summary
Our Commercial Millwork Foreman will oversee on-site installation of custom architectural millwork, casework, and specialty woodwork for commercial projects. This role ensures high-quality craftsmanship, efficient team performance, and compliance with project schedules, drawings, and safety standards. The Foreman is the key field leader bridging the gap between the shop, project management, and general contractor. Maintaining our Company's standard of quality, service, and project profitability are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution
Lead daily installation operations and crews on commercial millwork projects.
Read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and specifications.
Plan, sequence, and coordinate installation tasks to align with project schedules.
Ensure all work meets design intent, specifications, and quality standards.
Oversee and collaborate with our Project Manager in coordinating material deliveries, staging, protection, and site logistics.
Complete and verify field dimensions and report discrepancies or RFI needs promptly.
Maintain control of site cleanliness and material handling practices.
Team Leadership
Supervise and motivate field installers and subcontractors.
Assign daily tasks, monitor productivity, and enforce quality expectations.
Provide hands-on training and mentorship to team members.
Promote a positive, professional jobsite culture and accountability.
Quality & Standards
Enforce company installation best practices and craftsmanship standards.
Conduct ongoing QC inspections — alignment, reveals, finish protection, hardware operation, etc.
Coordinate with the project manager to resolve field challenges efficiently.
Complete punch lists and ensure client satisfaction at turnover.
Safety & Compliance
Enforce jobsite safety policies and OSHA compliance.
Conduct daily safety briefings and maintain clean, organized work areas.
Ensure safe tool and equipment use by all crew members.
Communication & Reporting
Serve as the primary on-site contact for the general contractor and other trades.
Provide daily progress updates to the Project Manager or Installation Manager.
Track labor hours, material usage, and any delays or change order conditions.
Document field conditions with photos and notes as required.
