Overview:
An established and fast-growing general contracting firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to take ownership of large-scale commercial builds from pre-construction through closeout. The right candidate will have a strong background in managing commercial or mixed-use projects, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven ability to deliver results on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead all phases of commercial construction projects, ensuring successful execution from groundbreaking to completion.
Oversee daily site operations, including coordination with subcontractors, field crews, and vendors to maintain safety, schedule, and quality standards.
Manage project timelines, budgets, procurement, and manpower planning.
Work closely with architects, engineers, inspectors, and ownership groups to ensure project goals are met.
Conduct routine site visits and inspections to enforce safety protocols and quality benchmarks.
Interpret blueprints, specifications, and contracts to inform execution and resolve conflicts.
Maintain and track project documentation such as RFIs, change orders, submittals, and progress reports.
Use project management tools (e.g., ProCore, MS Excel/Word) to monitor performance and report metrics.
Drive cost controls and implement strategies to meet or beat budget expectations.
Qualifications:
10+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
Background in both private and public sector builds is preferred.
Strong technical understanding of construction practices, scheduling, job site safety, and permitting.
Demonstrated success leading high-performing teams on multi-million-dollar projects.
OSHA compliance knowledge and commitment to a safety-first approach.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in construction management software (ProCore preferred).
Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to active project sites as needed.

Location Requirement:
Must be able to reliably commute to or relocate to Fishkill, NY before starting work.
