We are seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Estimator to join our growing company. We are looking for someone who desires to have input in our process and play an integral role in our growth strategy. If you are interested in dividing your time between a desk and the field – we are open to someone eager to grow and learn. Experience estimating low-slope and pitched roof systems including TPO, PVC, shingles, modified bitumen, silicone and other commercial roofing systems is required. Waterproofing experience would be a plus.
Job Requirements/Responsibilities:
In this role as the Commercial Roofing Estimator, you will estimate and bid roofing construction projects, both new construction and re-roofs throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Tasks include:
Review job plans and prepare plan take offs for roofing scopes of work
Attend job walks to obtain an understanding of each project
Manage preparation of RFIs and submittals for active jobs
Maintain files of working documents
Interface with suppliers and manufacturers for relationship building and certifications
Prepare field files and orient field team to scope details, including consulting in field as needed
Coordinate change order pricing and scope
Plan for about 70% of your time in office and 30% in the field
Qualifications:
Experience working with MS Excel and creating formulas
Experience performing estimates for construction projects or other transferable experience
Ability to read and interpret construction spec books (specifications) and plan drawings
Knowledge of construction materials for roofing (TPO, PVC, bitumen, shingles, silicone, DensDeck, ISO, flashing details, etc.)
Experience with take-off software: On Center, etc.
Valid CA Driver’s license with clean driving record
Authorized to work in the U.S
Verbal and written skills
Compensation is $80,000 - $125,000, commensurate with experience. Bonuses for sales activities. This is a full-time exempt position.
The position includes company medical benefits, 401K, etc. after probationary period.
