We’re seeking a Service Helper Roofer to assist with roof repairs on commercial flat roofing projects. This role offers hands-on experience, steady year-round work, and opportunities to develop your skills in the commercial roofing industry.
Our projects range from large-scale new construction to complete tear-offs, re-roofing, and renovation of existing building exteriors, as well as ongoing roof maintenance, inspections, and repairs across all major commercial roof systems.
Purpose:
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, learning on the job, and contributing to quality roof repair and maintenance. You’ll assist in inspecting existing roof conditions, diagnosing leaks, and performing repairs on various commercial roofing systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist with routine roof inspections and leak repairs on commercial and industrial projects
• Support maintenance of manufacturer warranties and documentation
• Assist with repairs and small construction projects involving Single Ply systems (EPDM, TPO, PVC), Built-Up and Modified Roof Systems
• Help perform a wide range of metal roofing repairs including flashing, wall panels, fascia, and soffit work
• Work closely with the Service Foreman to complete assigned jobs, primarily repairs and inspections
• Learn all aspects of each job assigned by the foreman or lead technician
• Follow all job-site safety protocols including use of PPE and fall protection
• Climb ladders and work at heights as required
• Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude and strong work ethic
• Ability to travel out of state as needed
• A valid driver’s license and insurable driving record are required
Qualifications:
• Previous construction experience preferred but not required
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions
• Good communication and teamwork skills
