    Position Summary:
    The Sales Manager plays a key leadership role responsible for driving profitable revenue growth, expanding market presence, and leading a high-performance sales team. This position requires a dynamic professional who can blend strategic sales leadership with strong technical understanding, ensuring exceptional client engagement and consistent achievement of revenue and margin goals. The Sales Manager will build strong internal and external relationships, optimize sales processes, and contribute to long-term organizational success.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Strategic Sales Leadership & Growth
    • Lead, coach, and motivate a high-performing sales team to consistently exceed revenue targets and KPIs
    • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow market share and drive profitability across regional and national markets
    • Continuously evaluate and improve sales processes to enhance efficiency and performance

    Business Development & Client Engagement
    • Identify and generate new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and digital platforms
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial clients and key stakeholders
    • Address client inquiries and challenges professionally, ensuring high levels of satisfaction
    • Deliver effective presentations, negotiate contracts, and close high-value deals

    Sales Process Optimization & Reporting
    • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop reporting systems for pipeline management, forecasting, and performance tracking
    • Provide market insights and strategic recommendations based on competitor and industry analysis
    • Manage multiple priorities, sales pipelines, and data with a high level of organization and attention to detail

    Technical Sales & Proposal Management
    • Conduct roof inspections, gather site data, and assess client needs for proposal development
    • Partner with estimating and pre-construction teams to produce accurate and competitive bids
    • Review project scope, specifications, and pricing to ensure alignment with client expectations
    • Provide technical guidance to sales team members during the bidding process

    Compliance & Safety
    • Ensure all activities comply with company policies, OSHA standards, and industry regulations
    • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across all sales and field interactions

    Team Leadership & Development
    • Recruit, train, and mentor a team of commercial roofing sales professionals
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and development
    • Ensure team members stay current on roofing systems such as TPO, EPDM, PVC, and Modified Bitumen
    • Foster a culture of accountability, customer focus, and safety

    Additional duties as needed

    Qualifications:

    Required:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
    • 7–10+ years of B2B sales experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial roofing or commercial construction
    • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms
    • Valid driver’s license

    Preferred:
    • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
    • Experience with estimating or project management software (e.g., The Edge, AccuLynx, Bluebeam)
    • Background in service-based construction sales environments
