A well-established commercial roofing contractor with over 30 years in business is seeking a Commercial Roofing Sales Representative to join our team in Lisle, IL. Our company is built on decades of industry expertise, with a team averaging more than 30 years of roofing experience. We pride ourselves on providing reliable, high-quality roofing solutions and exceptional customer service across commercial and industrial markets.
This position is ideal for a driven, relationship-oriented professional with strong sales skills and a commitment to delivering tailored solutions to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business through cold calls, emails, door-to-door visits, networking, and referrals.
- Follow up on direct mail and marketing campaigns.
- Schedule and conduct sales appointments with key decision-makers.
- Build long-term relationships with clients through consistent communication and trust.
- Assess client needs and recommend appropriate roofing solutions.
- Prepare and present proposals, reports, and sales documentation.
- Accurately maintain all sales activity and client information in CRM software.
- Collaborate with the Service Manager to develop sales strategies and identify new opportunities.
- Manage service projects secured through your sales efforts.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven success in sales with a strong record of achieving results.
- Skilled negotiator with the ability to adapt to different sales situations.
- 3+ years of experience in roofing, construction, or a related industry preferred (not required).
- Ability to qualify leads, manage opportunities, and close deals both in person and over the phone.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and customer focus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to climb ladders and perform roof inspections as needed.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to travel locally up to 80% of the time.
