Exciting Opportunity for a Commercial Roofing Service Manager!
Key Responsibilities:
As the Commercial Roofing Service Manager, you will:
- Lead and Grow: Manage service office, field operations, and sales functions, helping to expand the service business while ensuring departmental success in revenue, gross profit margin, and SG&A expenses.
- Client Engagement: Qualification of work orders, creating estimates, roof surveys, preventive maintenance reports, and deliverables that position the company as a trusted advisor for clients.
- Operational Excellence: Maintain pricing, manage invoicing, oversee payroll, and create management reports to track profitability and project status.
- Team Leadership: Hire, train, and develop personnel, fostering a positive work environment that encourages productivity and professional growth. Review technician performance and provide training on technical skills.
- Client Relationship Management: Build lasting client partnerships, prospect for new clients, and cross-sell services like preventive maintenance programs and disaster response services.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure safety protocols are met, manage safety training and documentation, and maintain equipment and vehicles.
- Project Management: Collaborate with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to streamline project development, ensuring timely execution and smooth communication.
- Administrative Oversight: Handle the preparation and management of contractual proposals, purchase orders, and construction-related documents.
Skills & Knowledge Required:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage teams and client relationships.
- Organizational skills to prioritize tasks and ensure deadlines are met without compromising quality.
- Solid computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to create and manage budgets and key performance metrics.
- Proven experience in motivating and guiding personnel to meet operational goals.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial roofing and service industry standards.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in commercial roofing or a related industry, with a focus on service management, estimating, and project oversight.
- Proven track record of managing and growing service operations, fostering client relationships, and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
