Commercial Sales Representative will work closely with builders, contractors and architects promoting and selling the Pella Product line. Commercial representative will primarily focus on commercial projects, additions, remodeling and replacement projects through remodeling contractors. Responsible for window takeoffs, generating quotes, delivering quotes to prospective customer and closing projects. In this position follow-up is key and the ability to overcome objections to secure an order is necessary. Developing long-term relationships with Builders and Contractors is a key ingredient to the success of this position.
Essential Duties:
Prospecting for new customers – The sales rep. is responsible for prospecting for and gaining new customers to grow the account base.
Quoting – The sales rep. is responsible for doing take-offs from the customer and converting them into quotes.
Presenting – The sales rep. will be responsible for presenting various products and services to customers as well as presenting quotes and detailed descriptions of the project. Both in person and digitally. Performing Continuing Education programs for architectural and builder's groups will also be required.
Selling – The sales rep. will be responsible for attaining sales goals as well as achieving a strong closing ratio.
Margins – The sales rep. will be responsible for maintaining a discount level.
Service – The sales rep. will be responsible for initiating service and playing a role in maintaining the companies desired service level.
Returns – The sales rep. will be responsible for maintaining a goal for product returns.
Delivery – The sales rep. will be responsible for need date management that will allow the company to forecast needs for shop time and delivery.
Meeting Attendance:
Regular meetings will be held with sales representative and sales manager to review:
Bookings Versus Goal, Quoting Activity, Discounts, Entry Door Sales, Returns & Allowances, Prospects Converted, Lost Jobs, and Future Business.
Must attend all sales meetings, company meetings and other mandatory scheduled events.
Attendance at monthly builder's meetings is necessary where applicable.
Participate in home shows and other events as deemed necessary by sales manager.
