Salary: 110k-125k
Summary
The Project Superintendent serves as the on-site leader, responsible for the safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery of projects while meeting quality standards and client expectations. Working closely with the Project Manager, this role focuses on daily field operations and short-term planning to keep the project on track, and ensuring that daily and weekly activities are consistent with construction plans.
Key Responsibilities
Preconstruction
- Support scheduling, logistics, and constructability reviews
- Assist with bid packages, subcontractor/supplier procurement
Construction
- Direct and coordinate daily site activities
- Manage subcontractors, costs, and project schedule
- Oversee quality control, safety, and code compliance
- Lead meetings, prepare reports, and maintain documentation
- Manage permits, inspections, and as-builts
- Mentor field engineers/assistant superintendents
- Address and resolve field issues promptly
- Coordination drawing review
- Coordinate materials with field and design requirements
- Work with project team to deliver quality project on time and on budget
Business Development
- Support RFQ/RFP responses and project interviews
- Contribute to identifying future project opportunities
Qualifications and Requirements
- 2 to 5 years experience in Commercial Construction
- Experience with commercial/retail construction projects
- OSHA 10, CPR, and First Aid certifications
- Willing to travel on occasion within the surrounding Columbus area
- Bluebeam experience required
- Experience with material lead time tracking required
