Commercial Underwriter - Property and Casualty Insurer - Base Salary to 110k/year - Mount Laurel, NJ

• Our client, a leading regional P&C insurer, has an immediate need for a middle market Commercial Underwriter to join their team. They are a well-established 100+ year company and have 4 offices in the Northeast. They offer both business and personal insurance.
• The Commercial Underwriter will be responsible for cultivating solid relationships with Agents in NJ and PA and internal staff while working towards achieving the most optimal outcomes for their policy holders.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the underwriting assistant to ensure adherence to corporate underwriting policy and service standards.
  
• Review accounts beyond individual authority with the Regional Underwriting Manager or Supervisor and recommends a course of action.
  
• Achieve commercial lines regional production goals and loss ratio objectives for assigned territory.
  
• Attend in-person and virtual Agency meetings

Qualifications:

• 5+ years commercial underwriting experience.
  
• Experience building agency relationships or has previous agency relationships.
  
• CPCU designation a plus.

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 80k - 110k/year range
