Position Summary
We are seeking a General Commercial Sales Representative to develop and grow relationships with commercial, industrial, and institutional customers across multiple Tuckey service lines. This role is ideal for a technically minded salesperson who understands at least one construction or industrial trade and is comfortable learning how to sell across disciplines by leveraging internal experts.
You do not need to be an expert in every trade we offer. Instead, you’ll act as a trusted front‑line partner to customers—identifying needs, coordinating with Tuckey’s technical teams, and helping customers access the full depth of our capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain long‑term relationships with commercial, industrial, and institutional customers
Proactively call on existing and prospective accounts within South Central PA
Identify customer needs across mechanical, fabrication, restoration, and specialty services
Coordinate with internal estimators, project managers, and technical experts to develop solutions
Generate and manage a sales pipeline across multiple service lines
Represent Tuckey as a single point of contact for customers with complex, multi‑trade needs
Support virtual and limited national sales efforts for the Metal Fabrication division
Track activity and opportunities using CRM and internal systems
Stay current on customer industries, facilities, and regional market conditions
Ideal Background
We’re flexible on titles and past industries, but strong candidates will typically have:
Experience in B2B sales within construction, manufacturing, mechanical trades, industrial services, or related fields
A technical background or hands‑on experience in at least one trade (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fabrication, welding, industrial maintenance, etc.)
Comfort selling consultatively rather than transactionally
Ability to learn and speak at a high level about multiple trades without needing to be the expert
Strong communication, organization, and follow‑through skills
A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally

Growing existing accounts by introducing additional Tuckey services
Opening doors to new commercial and industrial relationships
Effectively coordinating internal teams to deliver responsive, professional solutions
