Sense of Occasion, a premier full-service catering company known for elevated events and exceptional hospitality, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Commissary Baker to join our culinary team. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, cookies, and desserts based on catering menus and production needs
Scale and follow recipes with consistency and accuracy
Work closely with the Executive Chef and Pastry Lead to plan weekly bakes and production timelines
Maintain a clean and organized workstation in accordance with health and safety standards
Label, store, and rotate baked goods for event prep and delivery
Assist in packaging and prepping baked items for transport to offsite events
Operate commercial baking equipment (mixers, convection ovens, proofers, etc.)
Requirements:
1–3 years of professional baking experience (commissary or catering preferred)
Ability to follow detailed recipes and production sheets
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Comfortable working early mornings and in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
Food Handler’s Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
