    If so, we have the opportunity for you! Flour Bakery + Cafe is looking to fill a full-time Dishwasher position at our production kitchen that we call BK, which stands for Big Kitchen.

    The current position opening requires the following schedule: SUN: 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM MON: OFF TUES: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM WED: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM THURS: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM FRI: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM SAT: 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM

    The Role:

    The Dishwasher directly reports to the BK Production Chef but will also be given direction from the BK GM, Pastry Chefs, as well as the Sanitation Lead. Flour’s dishwashers are responsible for properly cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen and all dishes, pots, pans, equipment, and food service wares, including but not limited to: plates, utensils, food containers, sheet pans, ovens, coffee equipment, and trash barrels. Dishwashers ensure all areas of the dish are kept as clean and dry as possible, are maintained with proper cleaning chemicals at all times, and are logged to ensure safe sanitation of our equipment. The timely removal of all trash, compost, and recycling.

    Day-to-Day Performance Expectations:

    Maintain a log of dish machine and sink sanitizer, testing twice each day during shift

    Keeping chemicals stocked, organized, and in their correct bottles and containers.

    Organizing all food pans, sheet pans, containers, and the shelves where they are kept.

    Organizing dish area, consolidating food pans to keep the area from piling up.

    Removal of compost, recycling, and trash.

    Keeping the trash area clean from debris on floors and in/on barrels.

    Sweeping the kitchen, walk-ins, and freezers throughout the day to keep all areas clean and dry.

    Execute weekly/daily deep cleaning list as designated by BK Production Chef/Sanitation Lead

    Mop and scrub kitchen floor on a nightly basis per BK parameters

    Follow any change of procedures provided by BK Dishwasher Shift Lead

    All other duties as assigned

    Skills for Qualification:

    Must be able to maintain grooming and uniform standards

    Ability to stand for long periods, walk, push, pull, reach, and lift < 50 lbs.

    Ability to take feedback and direction

    Reliable performance and attendance record

    Willingness to work in a team and help all other departments, as needed

    Work Environment:

    Must be able to work in an environment with loud noises and machinery.

    Must be able to work around various aromas and fluctuating temperatures

    We do our best not to cross-contaminate anything containing gluten. However, there may be gluten in the air at times. We do our best to accommodate any staff allergy requests.

    Compensation:

    The starting wage for this position is $16.00-$18.00 per hour($16.00 per hour + a shared percentage of the sales known as the BOH appreciation, which on average adds around $2 per hour). The starting pay rate for this position is $16.00, but the total pay range is $16.00-$21.03.

    We ask for a minimum commitment of one year. Unfortunately, we do not offer seasonal or temporary work.
