Commissary Manager – Qualifications Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality, or culinary management preferred
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in food service management, commissary operations, or a related field
Proven experience managing a team in a high-volume kitchen or food production environment
Skills & Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and inventory control
Familiarity with food preparation equipment, commercial kitchen operations, and supply chain logistics
Proficient in inventory management systems, POS software, and basic Microsoft Office applications
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent organizational, time management, and communication abilities
Certifications (preferred or required):
ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification
HACCP training or certification is a plus
Valid driver’s license (if the position requires travel or delivery coordination

High attention to detail and quality standards
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
