Commissary Production Support Shift Lead - Flour Breadquarters - 19 Dry Dock Ave, Boston

If so, we have the opportunity for you! Flour Bakery + Cafe is looking for a Production Support Shift Lead for our commissary kitchen located in the Seaport! We call our commissary the Big Kitchen (BK).
The BK Production Support Shift Lead will report to the BK Production Savory + Support Chefs. The main responsibilities of the BK Prep Shift Lead is ensuring that all prep list items on the daily production list as written by BK Production Support Chef, BK Savory Production Chefs or BK Savory Production Shift Leads are being completed, as well as assisting Chefs with daily tasks, help maintain standards set by the Chefs and following through and maintaining standards and processes with the team as trained by Production Chefs.
The BK Production Support Shift Lead is also expected to prioritize items each day based on which loop the items travel and communicate any issues with timing to the appropriate team members while also assisting all co-workers within the kitchen and adjusting to different workload needs when necessary. The Production Support Shift Lead helps with overseeing the operations of the team in the absence of the Production Support Chef.
Day-to-Day Performance Expectations:
Provide support for coworkers in order to ensure prep is being done efficiently.
Assist Chefs with Inventory counts of food
Share operational feedback regarding quality, vendor concerns, and teamwork
Follow all recipes and techniques in pastry and savory food preparation.
Be another set of eyes on ingredient quality from vendor and overall Mom test
Provide constructive feedback as needed
Handle food and clean stations per standard sanitation procedures.
Assist with kitchen upkeep and deep cleaning tasks when production list is complete
Assist with verifying locations BK orders
Help maintain an orderly and clean kitchen
Check-in each day when you arrive and leave with the Production Shift Leader or Production Chef
Inventory finished product and write appropriate prep lists that meet all finished good pars
Prioritize items each day based on which loop the items travel and communicate any issues with timing.
Lead team in absence on Production Support Chef
Open availability to work including nights, weekends and holidays
All other duties as assigned

Ability to lift 50lbs

1+ years of professional kitchen and/or supervisory experience preferred
Compensation:
The starting wage for this position is $17 - 19 per hour ($17 per hour + a shared percentage of the sales known as the BOH appreciation, which on average adds around $1- $2 per hour).
