Job Title: Commissioning Associate – Building Systems

Role Overview:
As a Commissioning Associate in Orlando, FL, you will be responsible for commissioning building systems across large commercial projects. This role involves ensuring HVAC, electrical, plumbing, controls, and fire/life safety systems are fully optimized and meet project requirements. You'll play a key role in coordinating with contractors, trade partners, and facility owners to ensure that the building systems are fully operational.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead commissioning activities for MEPF systems on commercial construction projects.
- Review design documents, submittals, and specifications to ensure constructability and functionality.
- Assist in creating and managing commissioning plans, schedules, and execution strategies.
- Perform inspections, testing, and certification of building systems.
- Track and document system performance using commissioning software.
- Lead and participate in commissioning meetings with stakeholders and contractors.
- Mentor and support junior team members to ensure successful project delivery.
Required Background:
- Experience: 2-5 years of commissioning experience, with a focus on MEPF systems.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or Construction Management.
- Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, and commissioning software.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with hospitals, data centers, airports, or other critical facilities is preferred.
- Commissioning certifications (CxA, BCxA, NEBB, AABC) are a plus.
- Ability to travel to project sites with a valid driver's license.
