In our pursuit of positively transforming the social-emotional well-being of 100 million children annually by 2028, Committee for Children is looking for an experienced RESEARCH COORDINATOR to join our team! In this role, you'll be responsible for supporting empirical research studies related to our social-emotional learning program for middle schoolers. Your support of research studies will include collecting nationally representative teacher report data in multiple related studies as well as product improvement studies. Our goal is to improve students' social-emotional skills to help them succeed socially and academically.

The research coordinator will assist in scheduling and communicating with study participants, creating online surveys, database management, downloading and cleaning data, and other duties as assigned. There may also be opportunities for data analysis.

THIS IS A PART-TIME LIMITED-TERM EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY (UP TO 30 HOURS PER WEEK) THAT IS ESTIMATED TO BE 8 MONTHS IN LENGTH. THIS ROLE IS LOCATED IN OUR SEATTLE OFFICES.  

 PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

• Identify recruitment sample from a list of potential participants
• Work with research partners to obtain sample demographics on an ongoing basis
• Manage participant list and study-related communications with participants
• Create online surveys using SurveyMonkey
• Download and clean data; maintain Excel files
• Communicate with study participants to ensure adherence to study protocol
• Correspond with external research partners
• Track incentives and ensure participants are paid in a timely manner
• Provide project and administrative support for Research team

QUALIFICATIONS

• BA or at least two years' relevant experience conducting research in psychology, education, or a related field
• Proficient with Office 365 (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Experience with online survey apps (SurveyMonkey or similar)
• Experience working with diverse groups
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with quick turnaround times
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks and demands from different people
• Must be able to work to deadlines and flexibly adjust priorities
• Must be motivated, reliable, detail oriented, and able to work independently
