    A growing nutraceutical manufacturer is seeking an experienced Commodity Manager with a strong background in powder sourcing, ingredient procurement, and supply chain strategy. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-driven environment and enjoys building supplier partnerships that optimize cost, quality, and delivery.

    The Commodity Manager will play a key role in ensuring a secure, efficient, and cost-effective raw material supply chain — directly impacting production efficiency and profitability.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop, negotiate, and manage strategic vendor partnerships across multiple powder and raw ingredient categories.

    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (R&D, QA, and Procurement) to align sourcing strategies with business goals.

    • Analyze market trends, supplier performance, and material cost fluctuations to guide purchasing decisions.

    • Lead supplier evaluation, scorecard reviews, and contract negotiations to ensure optimal pricing, terms, and delivery.

    • Identify and execute cost reduction and process improvement opportunities while maintaining quality standards.

    • Visit key suppliers to evaluate facilities, capacity, and compliance with company requirements.

    • Support business continuity through inventory optimization and commodity strategy execution.

    Qualifications

    • 8–10+ years of experience in raw material procurement or sourcing, ideally within nutraceuticals, powders, or food ingredients.

    • Proven negotiation and supplier management expertise across multiple commodity categories.

    • Strong understanding of cGMP, quality, and regulatory requirements related to nutraceutical production.

    • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

    • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.

    • Willingness to travel up to 20% for supplier visits and audits.
