Birdie's Cafe & Oyster Bar is Seeking Bartenders

Birdie's Coffee and Oyster Bar is seeking passionate Bartenders to join our team. As a Bartender you are an integral component of our company. Our high standard of service and quality begin with you, the Bartender, and your interactions with our guests. To be successful in this role, you should have customer service skills and knowledge on giving exceptional service in a hospitality environment, creating warm welcomes, magic moments, and fond farewells.

A little bit about our Bartender position:

The Bartender is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service to our guests. They are responsible for greeting our guests warmly and promptly while always exhibiting a high level of hospitality. Bartenders must have a passion for delicious food, innovative and modern craft cocktails, wines, and intuitive service.

Responsibilities:

• Create and execute of modern, delicious craft cocktails in a organized and timely fashion
• Maintain Birdie's service standards as outlined in the Birdie's training program
• Complete and display comprehensive knowledge of the food menu and various liquors, beer, and wines
• Consistently execute Steps of Service outlined in the training manual
• Point of Sale knowledge
• Capable of multitasking
• Customer Service – creating a welcoming and thoughtful experience
• Ability to communicate professionally with customers as well as coworkers.
• Keep a clean and inviting store environment for customers as well as all other team members
• Work a flexible schedule based on company needs

Qualifications

• 1y Bartending experience
• Serving experience a plus
• Capable of lifting 50lbs
• Must be available to work weekends (closed Sundays and Mondays) and some Holidays

Full and part time positions are available.

Birdie's Coffee and Oyster Bar:

Birdie's is a café and oyster bar, located on the ground floor of Common House, a modern social club based in Richmond's Arts District. The full-service café offers specialty coffees and house made pastries. By late afternoon, the space transforms to an oyster bar, showcasing east coast oysters, lobster rolls, and a world class wine list. Birdie's is open to everyone and functions independently of Common House, but will share team members and logistics.

Common House employs a talented team of professionals who are passionate about their craft, supportive of their team, and are eager to develop their skills and knowledge.

The schedule for this position will primarily be Wednesday - Saturday evenings.
