Birdie's Café & Oyster Bar is Seeking Servers

Birdie's Coffee and Oyster Bar is preparing to have their Grand Opening and seeking passionate Servers to join our team. As a Server you are an integral component of our company. Our high standard of service and quality begin with you, the server, and your interactions with our guests. To be successful in this role, you should have customer service skills and knowledge on giving exceptional service in a hospital environment, creating warm welcomes, magic moments, and fond farewells.

A little bit about our server position:

The Server is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service to our members and guests. They are responsible for greeting our guests warmly and promptly while always exhibiting a high level of hospitality. Servers must have a passion for delicious food, award winning wine, and top notch next level service.

Responsibilities Continued:

• Maintain Birdie's service standards as outlined in the Birdie's training program
• Complete and display comprehensive knowledge of the food menu and various liquors, beer, and wines.
• Accurately execute guest orders and requests in a timely fashion
• Consistently execute Steps of Service outlined in the training manual
• Point of Sale operation and accepting payments
• Capable of multitasking
• Hospitality – creating a welcoming and thoughtful experience
• Ability to communicate professionally with customers as well as coworkers.
• Keep a clean and inviting store environment for customers as well as all other team members
• Work a flexible schedule based on store and company needs

Qualifications

• 1y Bartending experience
• Serving experience a plus
• Capable of lifting 50lbs
• Must be available to work weekends (closed Sundays) and some Holidays

Full and part time positions are available.

Birdie's Coffee and Oyster Bar:

Birdie's is a café and oyster bar, located on the ground floor of Common House, a modern social club based in Richmond's Arts District. The full-service café offers specialty coffees and house made pastries. By late afternoon, the space transforms to an oyster bar, showcasing east coast oysters, lobster rolls, and a world class wine list. Birdie's is open to everyone and functions independently of Common House, but will share team members and logistics.
