    We are actively seeking a highly organized and meticulous Traffic and Criminal Defense Legal Assistant to join our busy office located in Lexington, Virginia. The ideal candidate should be able to provide exceptional service to our clients in order to attain the best potential outcomes. We are an energetic and imaginative team dedicated to assisting individuals charged with misdemeanors, felonies, or minor violations. Responsibilities: • Manage and maintain court-related case files in accordance with organizational policies and standards • Assist attorneys in collecting and analyzing relevant information and evidence • Communicate effectively and proactively with clients • Prepare and review court documents and correspondence submitted to various legal entities • Stay on top of deadlines and keep an organized schedule • Travel with lawyers and paralegals to court hearings, correctional facilities, and other legal offices • Be present in the office full-time Qualifications: • Experience in office-related tasks • Outstanding attention to detail • Demonstrable commitment to completing tasks • Ability to follow instructions • Ability to interact in a professional manner with clients, staff, lawyers, and court personnel • Great communication skills (English) • Working knowledge of Microsoft programs • Strong problem-solving skills • Previous experience with criminal defense cases is an advantage • Understanding of state and federal regulations, gathering of evidence, filing requirements, etc. is a plus • Experience with sales and marketing and sales integration is desirable Compensation: $25,000 - $30,000 yearly
