    We are in search of an outstanding Legal Assistant to join our successful law firm specializing in criminal and traffic defense in Petersburg, Virginia. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with receptionists and paralegals to ensure clients receive excellent representation and achieve positive case results. Responsibilities: • Collect evidence to support the law firm's claims in court • Maintain and manage all documents and filings related to court cases • Communicate with clients, attorneys, and other relevant parties in a prompt and professional manner • Draft and submit legal documents and correspondence to applicable agencies • Monitor and adhere to deadlines and schedules • Travel with attorneys or paralegals to court hearings, jails, and other legal organizations • Must be physically present in the office during work hours Qualifications: • Have prior office experience • Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail • Exhibit a strong work ethic and an independent approach to completing tasks • Display a professional demeanor in accepting and responding to constructive feedback • Possess outstanding interpersonal and communication capabilities • Speak and write English fluently • Be proficient in the Microsoft Suite • Show strong problem-solving skills • Have prior legal work (particularly in criminal defense) • Understand the state and federal court systems • Have experience in sales and marketing (preferred) Compensation: $25,000 - $35,000 yearly
