Cost Engineer EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor is Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering plus 1+ years of technical experience or higher degree in similar field. Tools: Use of SolidWorks, Auto-Cad and MS Office. Use of simulation software. Data Analytics with Advanced MS Excel.
Responsibilities & Primary Duties:
Responsible to evaluate the material cost of component designs from inception to production.
Provide design feedback for optimum cost and processing performance.
Generate tool cost estimates aligned with component material cost estimates.
Capability to read engineering drawings and ensuring to collect data for technical review.
Responsible for all engineering quotations and related activities.
Works with the technical sourcing team to review supplier technical specifications for new supplier awarding.
Responsible to review the industrial engineering improve activities to translate to savings for the plant.
The employee may require visiting or working at off- shore company/customer location as per requirement. Modes of tracking will be conference calls, emails, calls and VPN.
