  • Responsibilities

    We need a Project Manager for our switchgear division. Ideally, this is more entry level Project Management position for a Mechanical or Electrical Engineer.

    The Project Manager is an extension of the sales team, responsible for the continuous management of projects for our Kearny, NJ manufacturing facility that provides sheet metal fabrication and other electrical components and accessories for switchgear network infrastructure. Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in related fields, Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering is considered a plus

    ISO 9001 experience with process documentation and system audits

    Proficient with Excel and Sharepoint; Smartsheet a plus.

    Relevant industry experience managing projects in a manufacturing or construction environment

    Ability to read and interpret general 2D/3D drawings and RFQ documentation

    Adaptable to fast paced, high volume of design projects

    Primary Job Responsibilities:

    Ability to read and interpret complex electrical and mechanical assembly prints

    Familiarity with electrical wiring and assembly

    Works directly with customer to ensure all pertinent information is received for project deliverables and other sales related topics

    Identifies and explores opportunities for additional revenue

    Monitor production capacity constraints and alerts necessary team members to issues

    Collaborates directly with production, quality, and manufacturing engineering to continuously improve scheduling and planning processes.

    Manages budgetary reviews and document overages on active and closed projects

    Participate in weekly production and scheduling meetings.

    ISO 9001 experience with process documentation and system audits

    Works with Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety committee to ensure and maintain compliance with safety operational, and regulatory standards
