Position Overview: Produces components by assembling small mechanical parts and subassemblies. Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepares work to be accomplished by following written procedures, following verbal instructions, studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading blueprints.
Assembles components by examining parts for correct fit then fastening parts and subassemblies per the requirements.
Evaluates the assembly during testing by observation, listening and “feel”.
Must have a good eye for detail to maintain high quality fit and finish of the final product.
Be able to troubleshoot assembly by observing and listening during testing.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Keep jobs and work areas organized and clean.
Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies and verifying receipt of supplies.
Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
Other duties as needed or required.
Qualifications & Skills:
No formal education or experience is required.
Ability to lift and palletize completed product (30 lbs max)
Adequate eyesight and hearing to perform duties and responsibilities.
General mechanical aptitude
Education / Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Previous assembly experience required ( 2 years )
Primary attributes include dependable, responsible, good work attitude, willing to learn, mechanically inclined and physically fit
